sliced peaches in syrup, undrained
1
box
yellow cake mix
1/2
cup
unsalted butter, melted
1/2
teaspoon
ground cinnamon
1/4
teaspoon
nutmeg
1
cup
chopped pecans (optional)
to taste
Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for serving (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a 9x13-inch baking dish, pour the undrained sliced peaches evenly across the bottom.
Sprinkle the ground cinnamon and nutmeg over the peaches to add some spice.
Evenly spread the dry yellow cake mix over the peaches. Do not stir.
Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the top of the cake mix. Again, do not mix.
If using, sprinkle the chopped pecans over the melted butter for added crunch and flavor.
Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbly.
Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream on top, and add a sprinkle of cinnamon for an inviting touch.
